Description

Carthouse at Birtley Farm, dating from the 18th century, features red brick plinth walls with a timber frame above that is clad in weatherboard. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles. The structure consists of three framed bays, with the entrance located on the south side. Inside, there is a queen-post roof with staggered butt-purlins. This building is part of a notable group of farm buildings.
