Description
Albion Cottages, located at 76 and 78 The Street in Wrecclesham, are 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall with old tile gabled roofs. Number 78 features a low roof with a hip on the left side, two window bays, and a central doorway, with a stack at the right end. The brick front has dentil eaves, and the first floor has casement windows with small panes. The ground floor has segmental-headed windows and a segmental-headed door with a frame, leading to a half-glazed door. Number 76 has a much higher front with one window bay and a door. It includes three-light casement windows, with the ground floor window having smaller panes and a segmental head. The doorway is segmental-headed with an architrave frame, a ledged door, and a brass vase knocker. Albion Cottages are part of a group that includes Nos 76 to 98 (even), Nos 102 and 104, and The Royal Oak Public House.
