Hall house. Early C16 with C18 alterations and C20 extensions to rear. Timber framed on brick plinth with red and blue brick infilling to ground floor, white- washed rendered infill above. Plain tiled roofs, hipped with gablets to main range, half-hipped with gablet to cross wing. L-shaped plan with cross wing projecting to left. One storey and attics under on-eaves, leaded gabled dormers to ends of main range, two storeys to centre and on cross wing. Square corbelled, multiple stack to right end, further stacks to rear. One leaded first floor casement window to centre, two windows to ground floor. Door to right of centre under flat hood on braces. Two bay cross wing to left with bracing on centre posts and king-post type roof truss. One 3-light window to end on each floor. Two windows on first floor return front. Right hand return front: attractive sandstone rubble cladding with ironstone galleting and occasional lumps of iron- stone.
