Description
The granary located 80 yards northeast of Sydenhurst Farm House is a 17th-century building that was originally at Bethwins Farm on Petworth Road in Chiddingfold. It has been transported and re-erected at its current location. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill, much of which has been restored, including some areas in a herringbone pattern. The roof is half hipped and covered with plain tiles. The granary is two storeys high and has a tile-hung dividing band across the first floor. It has two bays on both the east and west sides, with scattered 20th-century leaded casements. There is a 20th-century plank door on the south side, to the left, and a 20th-century wooden external staircase leading to a first-floor entrance on the north side.
