Description
The overthrow and lamp bracket attached to numbers 15 and 16 on West Street date from the 19th century. The wide wrought-iron overthrow features a scroll design and has circular panelled brackets at the base on either side, which are secured to the return walls of numbers 15 and 16. At the top, the overthrow connects to a bracket with partly twisted stems that are adorned with wrought-iron scrolls. This bracket extends outwards over the pavement and supports a quadrangular lamp with a casting. Numbers 8 to 15, which are consecutive, form a group that includes the lamp and lamp bracket located to the west of number 15.
