Description
The Wheatsheaf Inn is a late 18th-century building that has been reconstructed. It is two stories high with an attic, constructed of red brick on a rendered plinth. The building features projecting brick eaves and a mansard roof covered with old tiles. There are two dormer casements with three lights each, and on the first floor, two modern sash windows flank a central window, all of which also have three lights. The ground floor includes two three-light windows and two single windows, along with two modern half-glazed doors that are sheltered by flat hoods. A modern wrought iron sign is also present. The Wheatsheaf Inn is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 18, 37, 43, 45, and all the listed buildings on the south-east side from Nos 19 to 46, including a wrought iron screen in front of Vernon House.
