Description

The Former St Bartholomew's Church School was built between 1899 and 1900, designed by the architects Cancellor and Hill of Winchester. This one-storey building features coursed freestone and steeply-pitched tiled roofs, forming a T-shape. The window in the leg of the T has a pointed arch with Y-tracery and a hoodmould. Other windows also have hoodmoulds and stop-chamfered reveals. A tall chimney with conjoined stellar shafts is located at the crossing. The building includes a porch with a pent roof and a pointed arched entrance. It is included for its group value with the church.
