Description

Old Knightons is a house dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed, with a brick and render plinth, and has whitewashed brick infill to the exposed frame on the front. A brick and boarded pentice extension is on the right. The roof is tiled, half-hipped to the left and hipped with a gablet to the right. The house has two storeys and a centre chimney. The first floor to the right features arched bracing. There are three diamond-pane leaded windows on both the first and ground floors. A 20th-century porch is centrally located, featuring a large gable supported on brackets. The door is moulded and flanked by leaded lights, with a further window in the pentice extension. Arched bracing is exposed on the right-hand return front, visible above the pentice. At the rear, the first floor is tile hung, with a gabled dormer on the eaves to the right.
