Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating to 1832. It is constructed of brick with a hipped slate roof and end stacks. The two-storey, three-bay design features sash windows with glazing bars in the angle bays, protected by a small pent roof at ground floor level. Above, the windows are sash windows with curved heads. A central panelled door has a transom light and brackets supporting the small pent roof above it. A plaque on the first floor to the left of the cottage displays a rose decoration and the date 1832. The cottage is listed primarily for its group value in relation to The Biggin.
