Description

Northbridge Farmhouse is originally two cottages, now combined into a single dwelling. It dates back to the 16th century, with a timber frame encased in 19th-century brickwork, which is whitewashed. The upper part of the walls have herringbone brick infill, and the roof is tiled, hipped, with a stack on the rear right. The house is two storeys high, featuring mixed casement windows: two across the first floor on the left side, and a central glazed door protected by a timber gabled porch supported on wooden posts. A tile-hung gable front is on the right, with a catslide roof at the right-hand end. Inside, original features include a staircase and two brick fireplaces with Tudor-style arches above.
