Description
Numbers 1 and 2, known as Ivy Cottage, are two-storey buildings dating from the early 18th century, located on Moor Park Lane. The left part, which is No. 1, features a brick front that was once painted, a tile gabled roof, and two windows. It has a string course and three-light leaded casement windows, with shutters on the ground floor. The entrance includes a ledged door within a frame, topped by a moulded course hood supported by cut brackets. There is also an insurance company plaque displayed. The string course continues through a lean-to annexe, which has a blank wall facing the road.
The right part, which comprises No. 2, has been later refronted and features another bay with a gable above. It has a projecting brick plinth and a roughcast front. This section also has three-light windows, with the lower ones fitted with shutters. The entrance consists of a ledged door within a frame, with a flat hood on brackets above. An external brick stack is located on the return wall.
