Description
Utworth Manor is a house dating from the 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century. It features a timber frame that is clad in whitewashed roughcast, topped with a plain-tiled roof that is hipped to the left and gabled to the right. The building has a T-shaped plan, with a gabled cross wing that projects slightly to the right. It stands two storeys tall and has a crowstepped end stack to the right, a ridge stack to the left of centre, and additional stacks at the rear.
On the first floor, there are four leaded windows, mostly three-light, all with arched heads in their upper halves. The ground floor also has four similar windows, including one that is five-light, located to the right of centre. To the left of centre, there is a door leading to a lobby entry, which is sheltered by a flat hood. At the rear, there is a wing that runs at right angles to the main structure. Inside, there is a deep brick fireplace.
