Description
This is a barn located 40 metres northwest of Prestwick Manor Farm House, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It has a timber frame and is weatherboarded on a stone and brick plinth, topped with a half hipped tiled roof, which includes some machine tiles. The barn has a long rectangular shape formed by two barns placed end to end, each featuring a central gabled entry that projects outward. To the right of the centre, there are two full bay entries leading to the farmyard, with stone pigeon lofts in the roof space. The eastern barn has five half bays supported by queen strut trusses, while the western barn, dating from the 17th century, has five bays also with queen strut trusses. At the rear, there is a low three bay timber frame stable wing.
