Description
Runwick House is a late 18th-century building that has been altered. It is three storeys high and constructed of brownish pink brick with red brick dressings. The eaves are boxed and supported by pairs of brackets, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate.
The west and entrance front features three windows on the upper floors, two windows on the ground floor, and a central six-panel door. The top panels of the door are glazed and it is set beneath a Doric porch, which includes two wall pilasters, two columns, and an entablature with a cornice supported by pairs of brackets.
The north front, made entirely of red brick, follows a similar design with three windows, the outer ones having four wide panes. The south front has been altered in the 19th century and includes flanking two-storey angular bays. Additionally, there is a long range of stabling and outbuildings on the east front.
