Description
Hydestile Farm House is a 17th-century house, possibly incorporating elements from an earlier structure. It is timber framed and covered in galleted Bargate stone with brick dressings, topped by a plain tiled roof that is hipped on the front range. The house has two storeys set on a plinth, with a stack located at the left end that is crowstepped and was originally on a detached plinth.
On the first floor, there are two casement windows and one brick infilled panel. The ground floor features two windows and a six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, situated beneath a flat hood. At the rear, there is a parallel range with an offset end stack and brick dentilled eaves, as well as a tile-hung stack on the rear right. A window on the street elevation has been blocked.
