Description

Pockford Brook is a cottage dating to the 15th century, with 19th-century extensions. The central section is timber-framed, resting on a sandstone base with brick infill. The extensions are of brick and sandstone. The cottage has plain tile roofs with ridge stacks on both the left and right sides. It is two storeys high, featuring a number of casement windows, three on the first floor. A 19th-century plank door is situated to the right, adjacent to the gable front extension which runs across to the main house. A 20th-century stone extension with a door is located to the left. Inside, there are deep brick fireplaces with wood lintels.
