1099 WEST STREET (South east side) Lion Brewery Buildings Including Stores SU 8346 8/334 II

C19. Front to street of 3 storeys, 5 bays. Hipped slate roof. Brick front. 5 small segmental headed openings with shutters on 2nd floor; on 1st floor, 2-light segmental headed windows with small panes in 3 centre bays. On ground floor plate flass shop front in 1st and 2nd bays from left hand end; 2-light segmental headed window with small panes in centre bay; modern segmental headed doorway in 4th bay from left hand end. Behind the front block and rising to the smae height are brick kilns; 2 fine rounded ends to both North-East and Sout-West sides; hipped slate roof over, rising to a peak, attached to the kins from the eaves by plain wooden brackets.
