Description

The Boundary Stone of the Old Manor of Haslemere, dating from 1814, is located on Pathfields Close in the West End. This stone is one of 31 marker stones that were established when the boundaries of the manor were surveyed by J. Perry and perambulated by the Leet Jury. Each stone measures one foot square and stands 3 feet 6 inches tall, marked with "B.H." on the top and numbered on the outer face. This particular stone is numbered 23. It has suffered some wear or chipping at the back, causing it to no longer be square in section.
