Description
Lawday House is a 17th-century building with two storeys and an attic, featuring three window bays. It has an old tile roof that forms a pentice at the back and a brick external stack located in the left (southeast) gable end. The house includes three boxed 2-light casement dormers and a painted brick front. Above the entrance, there are three windows and two blind panels, with 2-light casements that have segmental heads. Additionally, there are two 3-light casements with segmental heads and small panes below. The entrance has a modern rustic-style door with an architrave frame and a rectangular fanlight. The roof structure is noted for its interest. Historically, tithes were formerly paid at this location.
