Description
Deerpark is a former kennel, later used as a lodge and then a house, built in 1916 by Edwin Lutyens for Felbridge Place. The design was inspired by the classical style, drawing on the influence of Soane's 'a la Paestum' barns. Construction used sandstone blocks with hipped Horsham stone slates and sandstone chimneystacks. The building takes the shape of an 'L' and is single-storied, featuring four casement windows with leaded lights. A Tuscan colonnade runs along the front.
