Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 meters northeast of Church Farm House, dating from the 17th century with 20th-century alterations. The barn is timber framed, standing on a brick and stone base, and features weatherboard cladding and a corrugated metal roof. It has a rectangular shape, positioned at right angles to the road, and consists of four framed bays with a catslide roof across the south side. There is a full-height waggon door at the northern end, and the roof is hipped at the right end.
Inside, the barn has jowelled posts with curved braces supporting the tie beams of queen strut trusses, which are fitted with clasped purlins. The rafters have been renewed. At the time of inspection, the barn was storm-damaged and in a state of disrepair.
