Description
This building is an oast house and granary located 60 yards west of Lingfield Lodge Farm House, dating from 1775. The granary on the left is timber framed and rests on 11 staddle stones, featuring weatherboard cladding and a plain tiled half-hipped roof. There is a central entrance accessed by a flight of steps. To the right, there is a taller weatherboard shed built on brick plinth walls, also with a plain tiled roof. An opening in the center of the first-floor shed connects to a square brick oast house at the right end, which has a pyramid roof and dentilled brick eaves. The entrance to the ground floor is located in the center.
Inside the granary, there are three framed bays with Queen strut roof construction. There is partition framing between the granary and the link building, with an entrance that provides internal access to the oast house.
