Description

The Bissell Tomb, located 20 yards southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, is a chest tomb dedicated to Edward Bissell. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of stone on a stone plinth. The tomb features panelled sides with an oval inscription panel, tapering panelled end piers, and a moulded edge on the flat stone lid.
