TQ 45SW LIMPSFIELD C.P. ITCHINGWOOD COMMON ROAD, 7/176 The Moat Farm House including Barn attached 11.6.58 to right GV II*

House: C15 Hall house, late C16 with C19 and C20 extensions. Timber framed to right clad in galleted rubblestone, brick infill above, rubblestone with brick dressings to left under tile hung gable. Plain tiled roof with end stack to left, ridge end stacks to right and rear. Entrance front at right angles to road: 2 storeys to right, with attic in gable front to left; 2 framed bays with casement windows, ground floor window under cambered head to left, pent tiled roof window to right. C20 plank door to right end under gabled porch hood on octagonal wooden supports. Left hand return front (street front): tile hung jettied first floor on brackets. Right hand return front: tile hung on first floor with C20 single storey extension to rear connecting to timber framed C19 barn, with brick and weatherboard cladding.
