Description

This is a late 18th-century house, later used as a library. It is located on the north side of High Street in Bagshot, Windleham. The house is built of red brick with a rendered plinth and has a plain tiled roof. It is two storeys high, featuring a moulded wooden eaves board and a ridge stack to the right, with the stack terminating in a diagonal brick course. The front has three bays, with three sash windows on the first floor, set within moulded frames and topped with gauged brick heads. On the ground floor, there is a single sash window to the left and a tripartite casement window to the right. The central entrance has a C19 six-panel door within a projecting surround featuring thin pilasters. Above the door, a blocked fanlight is decorated with garlands, beneath a dentilled hood moulding and an open pediment with reeded decoration, supported on fine scroll volute brackets.
