Description
Woods Farm House is a house from the 17th century that was extended in the 20th century. The rear and left sides are timber framed, while the front is clad in red and grey brick with fishscale tile hanging in the gables. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high, featuring a plat band over the ground floor on the left, brick dentil eaves, and a double ridge stack with an oversailing top on the left side. The main front has two gabled bays at each end and regular casement windows, with the outer first-floor windows positioned at eaves height under the gables, while the two central first-floor windows are lower and have cambered heads. There is a gabled brick porch to the left of centre, which has an arched one-step surround and double ribbed porch doors, with the inner doors being glazed. A single bay is set back to the right, and there are further wings set back to the rear. The left-hand return front reveals exposed timber framing in the gable.
