Description

The Town Hall, located at 966 London Street in Chertsey, was built in 1851 and designed by architect George Briand. This two-storey building features five windows and is constructed of red brick with stone dressings, including rusticated quoins. The ground floor has an arcaded loggia, while the first floor has a projecting balustraded balcony. A heavy dentil entablature runs along the top of the building. On the first floor, there are stone pilasters with foliate caps and arched windows that include glazing bars. A central staircase on the north side leads to the hall above the open loggia, with small ante-rooms on each side on both floors.
