Description

This building comprises two early 19th-century properties, 124 and 124A Guildford Street, Chertsey. It is a three-storey, two-window structure built of amber brick, with a slate, hipped roof. Decorative coupled brackets project from the relatively wide eaves soffit. Shallow recesses, spanning the first and second floors, incorporate segmental heads that spring from fluted bands at window head level. The sash windows have glazing bars, and are set within gauged flat arches. Channelled bands cross the recesses below the second-floor windows. The ground floor has been adapted for modern shops. The building contributes to the group value of the street.
