Description

This early 19th-century building stands on London Street, Chertsey. The left-hand portion has a slate roof, hipped and with a parapet wall, and features a single, 12-pane sash window with bars. A stone porch stands in front of the entrance, supported by detached circular columns in the Tuscan order, with an entablature and flat roof. The front door consists of six flush, reeded panels, topped with an arched fanlight containing radial bars. A chimney is situated at the rear. The building’s front is stone.

The right-hand portion of the building is also early 19th century and two storeys high, with a stucco front and a flat roof. It is distinguished by a moulded cornice and a plain course above, with three 12-pane, sash windows with bars. A central porch, supported by detached Ionic columns and an entablature, leads to a front door with three flush, reeded panels and an arched fanlight. Moulded hoods shelter the windows. A flat-headed carriageway is situated on the right, with a window above it. The roof is slate.
