Description

A former public house dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of heather-coloured brickwork, with the ground floor finished in painted stucco. It has a low-pitched slate roof. The front elevation features a simple, square, central porch with a glazed door. Flanking the porch are sash windows, each with a six-pane upper sash. At each end of the front elevation is a splay-sided three-light bay window with upper sashes divided into panes. The first floor has four windows arranged asymmetrically, all with twelve-pane sashes and heavy architraves. The eaves are moulded, wide and coarse, with a decorated lower moulding. On the ground floor, three coupled eight-pane sashes are set under a segmental brick arch.
