Description

Nos 36 to 40 Linkfield Lane is a building that likely dates back to the 16th century and may have originally been an open hall at the north end. It is an L-shaped timber-framed structure that has been converted into three cottages. The building stands two storeys tall and features four windows. The ground floor has been rebuilt in painted brick, while the upper floor reveals exposed timber framing with curved braces and painted brick infilling. The first floor of the south wing and its gable are covered in tile hanging. The roof is tiled, and the windows are casement style, with some featuring diamond-shaped leaded panes. There is also a small lean-to extension on the north side.
