Description

Fengates House is a mid-18th century house of three storeys and three bays, situated on Linkfield Street in Redhill. The house is constructed of red brick with grey headers, marked by a band at the second-floor level. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with tiles, featuring an eaves soffit. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars; the upper floors exhibit tripartite arrangements. The ground and first floors have finely gauged flat window arches. The central doorway is a six-panel design with glazed upper sections, set within a moulded architrave. A later, small wooden porch with a dentil cornice has been added. A modern wing extends from the rear of the building.
