Description

No 16 Linkfield Lane is a late 16th century small timber-framed cottage featuring painted brick filling and a thatched roof. The building stands two storeys high and has two windows with 19th-century casements. A projecting brick and stone chimney is located at the left end. The cottage showcases square framing with large arch braces and a side-purlin roof supported by wind braces. Inside, there are remnants of wattle and daub internal partitions, along with well-preserved ceiling beams. At the time of listing, the cottage was in poor condition, with part of the roof having collapsed.
