Description
Nos 48 and 50 on High Street in Reigate were originally two separate houses but are now used as one. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of three windows. The right part of the building dates back to the early 17th century and features attic windows in two gables. The left part, likely built around 1700, has two storeys and plain eaves. Both sections have high-pitched tiled roofs, with original barge-boards and pendants on the gables. The first floor is covered in diamond tile hanging, while the ground floor is painted brick. The building has early 19th-century attic sash windows and mid-19th-century one-bar casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes three small modern shop windows and a door. Nos 42 to 50 form a group.
