Description
46 High Street is a building that likely dates from the 17th century and was re-fronted in the 18th century. It has been used as two separate dwellings. The structure is two storeys tall with an attic and features four windows in total. It has a high-pitched tiled roof, with the eastern section having two hipped dormers. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, including one that is curved in plan, and there is a modern oriel bay window with a half-pyramidal roof and decorative glazing. The left part of the building is made of painted brick, while the right part is stuccoed. On the ground floor, there is a small early 19th-century bay window, a door with pilasters, an oblong fanlight, and a flat hood, along with another plain door to the left. The buildings numbered 42 to 50 (even) form a group with this property.
