Description

No 82 High Street is a building dating from around 1800, featuring three storeys and one bay, with later alterations that hide a timber-framed core from the late medieval period. The exterior is made of red brick, with some blue headers, and it has a fairly low-pitched tiled roof with a chimney at the left end. The first floor has modern plate glass windows with gauged flat brick arches above them. The ground floor includes an early 20th-century shop front. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 70 to 76 and No 80, with Nos 72, 74, and 76 having local interest only.
