Description

Number 42 on High Street is a 18th century front to a timber-framed building, which is part of a long range that extends to number 48. The building features a high-pitched tiled roof and a stuccoed front with incised lines. On the first floor, there are recessed sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance includes a half-glazed door with an oblong fanlight set within a moulded architrave, alongside a modern shop window to the right. Numbers 42 to 50 (even) are recognized as a group.
