Description
This is an early to mid-18th century pair of buildings on Bell Street. They are two storeys and an attic, each with three windows. The buildings are constructed of red brick, with a dentil cornice and parapet. They have hipped, tiled gambrel roofs, each with two dormers. The two central bays project slightly and feature round-headed windows on the first floor. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within gauged brick arches. A shared central porch has slender columns. The doors have panelled, round-headed reveals and fanlights; the door to No. 37 is a modern half-glazed design, while the door to No. 39 is a six-panel design, partially glazed. Nos. 37 to 41 (odd numbers) form an architectural group.
