Description

This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 20 yards south of the west end of the Church of St. Margaret. It features a rectangular stone panelled base with flanking angle scrolls and a panelled top adorned with armorial crests at either end. The tomb is topped with a globe set in a shell socket. The inscription is mostly illegible, but it includes a date of death from 1768. The tomb has group value with the Church of St. Margaret.
