Description

Whitehall Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with a later addition, situated on Sandcross Lane. It originally comprised one wide bay and a gable-ended cross wing to the right, featuring two windows. The house is timber-framed, with tile hanging in the upper portion and red brick in the lower part. The roofs are steeply pitched and tiled, with a tall original chimney exhibiting rebated angles. Later 18th-century and modern leaded casement windows are present. An additional bay has been added to the left, built in a matching style and using similar materials. Inside, the ground floor reveals chamfered beams and an inglenook. The upper floor displays exposed timberwork, including roof elements with queen post trusses, side purlins, and wind braces.
