Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house, built in three distinct phases. The left-hand part is taller, rising to two storeys and an attic. The central section is lower, with two storeys and a basement. The right-hand part is a double-span structure of two storeys and two windows. The house is largely constructed of brown brick, with the right-hand section rendered in cement. The roofs are slate, with some being hip ended, except for the left-hand section which has a tiled roof and a gabled dormer. Sash windows have gauged, near-flat brick arches. The central section features a tripartite sash window with glazing bars above, and a canted bay with a hipped roof. A later 19th-century pent roof porch is set in the angle to the right wing. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
