Description

Wayside is a mid-19th century, two-storey cottage with two windows, notable for its use of local materials sourced from the surrounding field. The exterior features small coursed galleted iron-stone rubble, with quoins and dressings made of red brick and grey headers, including a band at the first floor. The cottage has a wide gable end that spans the entire front, a slated roof, and brick chimneys. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are set under segmental arches on the ground floor. There is a small projecting gabled porch and small rear extensions.
