Description
Reigate Heath Baptist Church, located at Reigate Heath Windmill, is a 18th-century post mill built in 1765. The windmill features a boat-shaped top and sails that have been restored. Its upper walls are made of tarred weather-boarding, designed to fit over the roof of the roundhouse to prevent movement. The roundhouse itself is constructed of brick and topped with a leaded roof. High up, there are plain 18th-century casements. Notably, a church bell has been added to the north side of the structure. This windmill is likely the only one in England that is currently used as a church.
