Description
Little Everest is a cottage dating from the 16th century, originally a two-bay building with an integral outshot to the southwest, which was extended by one bay in the early 20th century. The cottage is timber-framed and faced in Reigate stone with galleting, while the northeast extension features a stone ground floor and a tile-hung first floor. It has a tiled roof topped with a tall ribbed brick chimneystack. The building stands two storeys high and has four windows, with casement windows on the ground floor, including a triple window. There is a canted bay window to the northwest and a hipped porch. Inside, the cottage has a box frame, a spine beam with lambs tongue stops, and a queen post roof supported by diagonal tension braces.
