Description

No. 48 Common Road is a late 17th-century cottage that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has a high-pitched hipped roof that is currently slated. At the right end of the building, there is a large old chimney with offsets. The first floor is adorned with diamond tile hanging, while the ground floor is plastered. The cottage has 19th-century one-bar casements and a plain plank door that is situated under a bracketed cornice hood. There are small pent extensions on the left side and a rear wing on the right.
