Description

This is a headstone with an associated footstone located approximately 12 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary and St Nicholas. It dates from the early 18th century and commemorates John Need, who died in 1704. The headstone is made of limestone and features a small design with a shaped top that is carved with a skull. The shouldered footstone is positioned to the east of the headstone, but there is no bodywork between the two.
