ASHTEAD ASHTEAD PARK TQ 1857-1957 8/15 Bridgman monument approx. 8 metres south of corner of chancel of Church of St Giles

GV II

Tomb chest. Early C18. Commemorates William Bridgman (d.1727). Limestone ashlar. Classical style. Panelled sides and ends, with wide vase-profile corners which have gadroon decoration at the base and egg-and-dart at the top; lid with moulded edge and elegantly lettered inscription to William Bridgman "Citizen and Salter of London".
