Description

Lower Gages Farm House is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It is timber framed with brown and grey header brick at the bottom, and the exposed frame above is filled with colour-washed render. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles. The house has two storeys and consists of three bays, which include a chimney bay and one bay that was originally separate on the left side. There is tension bracing on the first floor that passes through the middle rail to the right. A stack is located to the left of centre. The house features three windows on both the first and ground floors, with the ground floor windows positioned under drip boards. A former door has been blocked and relocated to the rear in a catslide to the right.
