Description
The Waterwork Grotto, located to the southwest of Wotton House, is a grotto dating from the 19th century. It is constructed from a composite of artificial stone and rubble, with an earth and rubble roof. The grotto features arched rustic entrances, and some of the old piping that supplied water inside is still visible. At the time of the last survey, the grotto was noted to be in poor condition. This structure is part of the garden at Wotton House, which is included in the "Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England: Part 40 Surrey" and is designated as grade II*.
