Description
The grotto, located in a recess to the right of the lobby between the stable yard and chapel, is an artificial structure dating from around 1880. It was designed by Alfred Waterhouse for the 1st Duke of Westminster. The grotto features simulated stone crafted into stalactites and rocky recesses, all beneath a small glazed roof supported by a plain iron frame.
